The initiative of VARA FOUNDATIONS strives towards creating opportunities for them to keep pace with the rest of the society.
VARA FOUNDATIONS envisions to touch atleast 10000 lives by 2020, providing comprehensive solutions to the disabled and underprivileged communities.

I am blind since my age of 5. ,My life was shattered as i could not live like any other children. My life was also dark since I am from a very poor family, and we struggled to meet our daily ends. My father was an alcholic & I headed no where in life. I wanted to study but due to my family condition I was not able to pursue my education. One of my friend who was at VARA FOUNDATIONS and informed me how his life has changed after joining VARA FOUNDATIONS I was excited about his experience at VARA FOUNDATIONS and now I am here today pursuing my under graduation at Yediyur with the help of VARA FOUNDATIONS who is taking care of my Accomodation, Education and my nutritious food , all of course free of cost.
My name is Shashi. I was a farmer in Chikkaballapur. I was doing fine but destiny had other plans for me. I lost my vision due to some neurological problem at the age of 25. I was the sole bread earner for my family, and my mother is a widow. After I lost my vision I was so depressed in life & did not know in which way to head. One fine day a ray of hope shined on me and I approched VARA FOUNDATIONS who welcomed me and offered me a job in their organisation. Today I am so confident and happy that I am able to take care of my mother and I live my life with dignity. I thank VARA FOUNDATIONS for giving me this opportunity.
My ambition is to become an IAS officer to serve the society says Jasmin, a talented and hard working. She has been excelling in her academics and also she is a talented actor who has acted in Kannada cinema called SADHANE in 2012. Her talent not stopped there. She is also a good singer who has perfomed at various cutural programmes. Let us hear In her own words: "I come from a very poor family in Chikkaballapur. I was ill treated by my parents & family members since i was blind and they tried to supress my dream of becoming an IAS officer. I was not allowed to continue my studies and my parents were reluctant to provide me food ans clothing". "I heard about VARA FOUNDATIONS in Bangalore. I immediately contacted them & they gracefully acknowledged my request to help me pursue my further Education". "Now I am at VARA FOUNDATIONS pursuing my B.A in Yediyur first grade degree college (Bangalore) and they have borne all expenses of my education. Not only that but they have provided me free hostel facility at VARA FOUNDATIONS"
